Burlington Health and Rehabilitation Center - Genesis HealthCare
May serve as back up or administer the center's payroll. Serves as the Benefits Designee for the center(s). Acts as a liaison between the center(s) and the corporate offices for payroll, benefits and the regional human resources office. Coordinates the flow of applicants and employment paperwork for staffing purposes and maintains the employment records (including in-Service records) of the center's employees. Indirectly reports to Regional HR Manager/Director to support Center(s) in achieving Staff Excellence goals.
Exercises integrity and confidentiality. Maintains personal employee information including but not limited to medical, pay, demographic, discipline, family matters in the strictest confidence and in accordance with policy and legal standards. Protects company confidential information.
May serve as back-up to the Center(s) Scheduling/Payroll representative(s) or may serve as the center(s) payroll representative by processing payroll in accordance with policies and procedures and by assisting center(s) employees in resolving payroll issues.
Coordinates center(s) applicant flow processes from sourcing through selection. Completes reference checks, criminal background checks and applicant drug tests along with all other necessary employment paperwork.
Coordinates and participates in bi-weekly Welcoming Program. Ensures all new employees are trained in time clock practices and creates employee badge.
Serves as the benefits designee for the center(s) and ensures that all employees receive the required information regarding benefits, and processes the benefits paperwork. Liaises with Corporate Benefit Services to address employee issues/inquiries.
Administers compensation program at the center(s). May provide competitive wage information to Regional HR Manager/Director.
Conducts Basic Computer Training (equipment, login, keyboarding, and system navigation) for all new employees.
Conducts annual in-service non-clinical mandatory education for all employees and maintains documentation.
Monitors Performance Evaluation Schedule (including 90 day and annual reviews) for all employees.
Directs employees to appropriate resources in response to employee needs and/or requests, e.g. Genesis Employee Foundation, EAP, the Work Number (for Income/Wage Verifications), Benefits Department (for LOA, FMLA), Employee Self-Service (to update personal information), etc.
Creates and maintain personnel files/records (manual and electronic) as well as Center(s) employee-related files/records including Benefit Accruals, Service Date Adjustments, Licensure/Certification/Education, OSHA, Workers' Compensation, Unemployment Claims, and Employee Health/Medical Records (i.e. Drug Testing, CPR, Physicals, FMLA) according to policy and legal standards. Ensures the quality, accuracy and timeliness of the information.
Remains current in the understanding of all company benefit programs and benefit policies; Is well versed in the understanding of ADA and FMLA;
Coordinates Center(s) programs, e.g. Workers' Compensation, Employee Recognition, Employee Communications (Corporate-Big Blue Board, Corporate Integrity, other government mandated and center-related), and Special Events. May coordinate Safety Program.
May represent the center(s) at unemployment hearings and workers compensation hearings .
May process Accounts Payable as directed and in accordance with policies and procedures.
May act as Back-Up to Center Scheduling Manager.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:1. High school diploma.2. Two years of experience in payroll, benefits or human resources required.3. Experience using computer to support work activities.
